The optimum temperature range for photosynthetic activity is between 25-30 ºC. It has certain needs of cold but can be harmed by frost and this is the main limiting factor when growing almond plants. Very low winter and very high summer temperatures inhibit growth and fruit set. |
| Watering | Almond trees die easily if they are not thoroughly watered as much as they need. Almonds need 2 inches of water every 2 weeks in the off-season. 3-4 inches of water every 2 weeks is ideal in the peak growing season. You can reduce watering to 1 inch of water every 2 weeks during winter. |
