Description: The Damask rose is a deciduous shrub growing to 2.2 m tall, the stems densely armed with stout, curved prickles and stiff bristles. The leaves are pinnate, with five (rarely seven) leaflets. The roses are a light to moderate pink to light red. The relatively small flowers grow in groups.
Uses: Roses are best known as ornamental plants grown for their flowers in the garden and sometimes indoors. They have been also used for commercial perfumery and commercial cut flower crops. The main Products of Damask Rose are Rose essential oil, Rose aromatic water, Rose oil, Rose tea. Some are used as landscape plants, for hedging.
