How to Propagate Seed:

Petunia is a warm-season flower and grows best in full sun. They do not require any treatment before sowing. Spread the seeds into the trays or pots for best growing and sow them 3mm deep. The soil should be moist but never wet or dry. When seedlings have matured, transplant them into the garden, and the spacing between each plant should be 25cm apart. Do not transplant the seedlings outside until all danger of frost has passed. Seed will germinate in around 5-15 days at a temperature of 21-28°C.

How to Protect them from disease:

Petunia is receptive to some pests, diseases and other problems. When it is growing in the garden, it is attacked by aphids, bacterial leaf spots, downy mildew, grey mould and powdery mildew. To control these disease attack, fertilizes them properly and apply fungicide spray on them. Water the plants at the soil level, not on the leaves. Remove the deadhead flowers to prolong the fresh flowering. Apply slow-release fertilizer when seedlings are 5-10cm tall. Also apply liquid fertilizer when plants are fruiting or flowering.
