- Description:The Chinese violet is a fast-growing perennial climber that forms sprawling mats. It normally grows to 1 meter high. However, if climbing over vegetation, it can reach 3 meters in height. Vines may die back after releasing their seeds. It has weak, hairy stems. Simple, dark green leaves are present. In the spring and summer, it produces a cream-colored flower with purple tessellations on the palate (lower petal of the corolla).
- Uses:It can be used as a mass planting under large trees and borders in full sun, semi-shade or full shade. Its flowers are edible and often used in salads. Its fresh leaves are used to make tea. It is a good climber as a house plant and also as a creeper in the garden.
