Burro’s-Tail (بروٹیل یا ڈنکی ٹیل)

  • Common Name: Donkey Tail
  • Description: Burro’s tail is a showstopper in a hanging basket, where its long, luxurious stems can drape over the side. The stems are heavy with the weight of water-filled leaves. The thick stems appear woven or plaited with leaves. The succulent is green to gray-green or even blue-green and may have a slightly chalky look.
  • Uses: Burro’s tail works well in a hanging basket and decorates a mixed cactus and succulent container. It will flourish in rockery cracks and makes a unique ground cover.

Soil Requirement A burro’s tail plant will thrive in dry, sandy soil. You can use a pre-mixed cactus soil or make your own by adding equal parts sand to your regular potting mix.
Environment The areas that have freezing temperatures in winter require this plant to be indoors. Thrives best with lots of warm sunlight. Optimum for a sunny windowsill that boasts several hours of daily light.
Watering Burro’s tail is drought tolerant. Don’t water it more than once a month.
