Description: Day blooming jasmine is a broadleaf evergreen shrub that grows 6-8 feet tall and 4-6 feet. Day blooming jasmine is hardy in zones 8-11. In late spring to midsummer, day blooming jasmine bears clusters of tubular white flowers that are highly fragrant.
Uses: The flower is used to make medicine. Jasmine has been used for liver disease (hepatitis), liver pain due to cirrhosis, and abdominal pain due to severe diarrhea (dysentery). It is also used to cause relaxation (as a sedative), to heighten sexual desire (as an aphrodisiac), and in cancer treatment.
